• In the pages of my life, I've etched a story shaped by a unique blend of dedication and passion, one that took me from the realm of Construction Trades to the frontlines of the United States Army and eventually to a career in custom home building. It all began in Traverse City, where I enrolled in a two-year program at the Career-Tech Center. While having been exposed at an early age, this was my first introduction to the world of construction, and it left an indelible mark on my heart. There, I learned the art of building, the craft of creating something with your hands, and a deep appreciation for the structures that surround us.

But my journey took a remarkable turn when I made the decision to join the U.S. Army, embarking on a 14-year career in active duty service. In the years that followed, I found myself in the crucible of two combat deployments to Iraq, first from 2005 to 2006 and then from 2008 to 2009. These experiences were intense and challenging, testing my mettle in ways I could have never imagined. In 2011, I was deployed once more, this time to the unforgiving terrain of Afghanistan, where I served with honor and commitment until 2012. These experiences forged me into the person I am today, teaching me discipline, leadership, and resilience that would prove invaluable in the years to come.

After my military service concluded, I embarked on a new chapter of life. Armed with the knowledge and skills I had acquired in the field of Construction Trades, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Management, a testament to my commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth. This education laid the foundation for my second career as a carpenter at a highly custom home building company in the Traverse City area, where I applied my construction expertise to create unique, handcrafted homes. The journey from a construction student to a soldier, and then to a craftsman, was a profound one. It's a journey that has shaped me, teaching me the value of dedication, the power of service, and the beauty of craftsmanship. Through the twists and turns of life, I've come to understand that every experience leaves a mark, and it's up to us to decide how we carry that mark forward into the future.

With a career spanning 48 years in the construction trades, I have dedicated my life to the art of carpentry. From the moment I swung my first hammer, I knew that working with wood was my true calling. Over the years, I honed my skills and gained a reputation as a craftsman in the field. My journey led me to the breathtaking slopes of Crystal Mountain resort, where I spent 15 years building exquisite condominiums. As a carpenter and project manager, I oversaw every detail, ensuring that each structure was not only structurally sound but also aesthetically pleasing. My time at Crystal Mountain allowed me to combine my love for carpentry with my passion for project management, resulting in stunning, high-quality homes that became a testament to my dedication to the trade.

My expertise extends beyond the realm of condo construction, as I have been involved in a wide range of residential and commercial building projects. From single-family homes to commercial spaces, my skills in trim and interior carpentry have left their mark on numerous structures, both big and small. I take pride in the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into creating beautiful and functional spaces, whether it's a cozy family home or a bustling commercial establishment. The past 48 years have been a labor of love, and my journey through the construction trades has not only built structures but also lasting memories and a legacy of exceptional carpentry.
